Exclusive: John Lloyd involved in Angel-Luis breakup?
All of showbiz is abuzz about thereported split-up between ABS-CBN stars Angel Locsin and Luis Manzano with neither side confirming or denying the rumor.
Good Times Manila, however, has confirmed that the two have indeed broken up. But the more shocking news, GTM learned, is the alleged involvement of John Lloyd Cruz, Manzano’s co-star in Star Cinema’s “In My Life,” their upcoming movie with the latter’s mother, Vilma Santos.
Based on the accounts of at least three independent sources close to both camps, the breakup occurred on Aug. 10 inside Manzano’s condominium unit in Quezon City.
Sources said the two had been fighting about the controversial kissing scenebetween Cruz and Manzano in the movie.
“Angel kept asking Luis who’s the better kisser: she or John Lloyd,” one of the sources said.
But instead of choosing between the two, Manzano reportedly told Locsin: “It’s hard to compare.”
Locsin was reportedly “very peeved” at the ambiguous answer and demanded Manzano to explain himself. He then told her: “As much as I love you, Kiti, I have to be honest. He’s a really great kisser.”
“Kung saan saan kasi sumusuot ang dila nya kaya nakakadala talaga (His tongue reaches so many places anyone would get into it),” Manzano reportedly said.
He even admitted that he got “a little turned on” while they were shooting the kissing scene, the sources said.
Even though she was hurt, Locsin forgave Manzano and even thanked him for his honesty. “But their relationship was never the same again,” one source said.
The final straw came a few days later when the two were making out, the sources said.
While they were kissing passionately – to Locsin’s horror – Manzano suddenly blurted out: “Ang sarap… Lloydie.”
